frodo and the adult bookstore

hmm... well, that entry title might bring some interesting visitors over from google. but, traffic is traffic i suppose. took this photo last night, well this morning actually, on the way home from watching lord of the rings: return of the king. (i say morning because its nearly 4 hours all told, and i didn't get in bed until about 4am.) anyone who's visited chattanooga, and taken the market street/lookout mountain exit is probably familiar with this view of the infamous broad street adult bookstore: an ever glowing beacon of, well, depravity? i must admit though, its a strangely comforting site after hours on the highway, whenever i return from a trip. can anyone relate?

about LOTR 3... it was fantastic. incredible. i'm at a loss for words. okay, of course, i have a few little complaints, but on the whole i was blown away. with each successive film i've let go of the need for there to be a direct correlation between film and book events. so, with this film, i dropped all expectations and just let myself be engulfed - and engulfed i was.

The Adult Bookstore is the lighthouse, the homing beacon of St. Elmo. Many a VW Quantum was saved from the reefs by those bright pink lights.

Ah...the beautiful neon pink of Broad St. I've kind of missed that light.

I agree with the 'engulfed' thing. I was pretty much speechless for a good while after the movie ended.
