first things first... for all of you interested brady's condition, if you've been keeping up with the comments you know that it is much improved. the latest i've heard is that he's awake and alert and in good spirits. the problem with his lungs appears to have been resolved. he's no longer in the intensive care unit nor is he on the respirator and has his own private room now. they are, however, worried about infections because of the removal of his spleen and the numerous surgeries that will be necessary in the next weeks and months.
please continue to pray. i have been greatly encouraged by how useful this website has been in spreading the word of his fall. i have been receiving comments, emails, and instant messages from people, literally, all over the world (china, switzerland, pittsburgh, etc.) who all say they're praying for him and thinking about him. its great to see the church come together in this way.
...
some of you may remember the new years resolutions i made this past year. well, i'm proud to say that i have finally accomplished one of them - and even that only partially. my goal, in expanding my appreciation for the history of rock and roll, was to purchase 5 beatles albums before buying any other music. while i have picked up numerous other albums along the way, i did get albums #4 and #5 at mckay books on saturday - the white album, and sargeant peppers lonely hearts club band. you can see my meager collection above.
i also picked up a copy of the chronicle's of narnia which i've been wanting to reread for a long time now. i had no idea you could get all seven books in one volume. should make for good travel reading this week.
speaking of good reading: a NY times editorial for those of you who love rock and roll and nick hornby.
tonight i head to atlanta and fly to denver in the morning...
You'll be crossing paths with Ms. Cat Collier! She'll be on her way back to ATL through Denver after a lovely visit to Hawaii on Wednesday. The white album is my favorite!Praise God about Brady!
Posted by: Katie at May 24, 2004 01:11 PMI was SO relieved to hear the news about Brady! We are still praying hard for him, though, in his recovery. Our church, Rock Creek, sent out a prayer chain a few days ago.
Posted by: Lisa at May 24, 2004 04:54 PMhey andy,
just finished last battle this past weekend..
awesome to read them again...
have fun in CO buddy...
Hey Andy
I know you're on your way out west right now, but two things:
1) You owe me something
2) I'm out west too, but I'm gonna see Postal Service on Saturday while I'm out here. As well as Built to Spill, The Decembrists, The New Pornographers, and everybody else who is playing at the Saskwatch (sp?) Music Festival on Saturday. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Also,
I was wondering if this would be the appropriate time or place to disclose on my secret man crush on Brady King. Oops, I guess I just did. I think he's a pretty cool guy and I thinks I wanna go visit him when I get back. Anyone?
Omg thats right! Please come see me and my friends! ;)
