anna's "green light" comment from yesterday's post means that i'm now free to make mention of their immediate plans to move to new york city. they'd been planning this move, or at least a move to a larger city since they got married, but due to a serious mold problem in their apartment in chattanooga and an opportunity to live in NY for free for a month they got the heck outta dodge. they will be missed terribly of course - i felt like i was just getting to know the new ben, married ben, and it turns out he's an even cooler guy than single ben. and anna, well, she's just the best no matter how you slice it. but, bon voyage and godspeed to you thomases - you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
i shot this photo on sunday afternoon at jackson and grace's place. that's paul and mary on the right who are recently engaged if anyone hadn't heard yet. (man, sometimes i feel like all i do on this blog is announce weddings, births, and parties... hmmm)
...
gotta run to prayer meeting. or walk as it were since the new church is now only 2 blocks from my new offices. sweet...
I would like to be the 1st to congratulate Paul David and Mary on their engagement!!! I think he's a great "little" brother and I'm looking forward to getting to know Mary better!
Congrats to Ben and Anna on moving to NYC. If Mike and I ever get a chance to come up there we'll try to see you.
It's okay, Andy. I promise not to get engaged.
Posted by: mesh at November 4, 2004 11:42 AMgood news! ben got a second interview with that publishing house tomorrow and i have an interview tomorrow morning. everything's coming up ben and anna...
but also it be cold and pouring down rainy outside which ain't no good.
miss you (and the weather) already.
Andy your biological clock is ticking! Don't feel bad for announcing all this good stuff! It reminds us of God's blessings. Your family reunions will never be the same with a little tike around. Congrats Unca Andy!
Posted by: Katie at November 4, 2004 05:12 PMThanks Ben and Anna for waiting until I was stuck in another part of the world to leave. My life is over. I'm about to say goodbye to my girlfriend for another two months, my new car is wrecked and there's no Thomases when I get back home. I just wanna die.
Posted by: John Totten at November 5, 2004 01:14 PMCongrats to Ben and Anna. I think big cities rule. You're about 3000 miles too far to the east, though . . .
Posted by: paul at November 5, 2004 05:51 PMAh, Ben and Anna, best of luck to you guys! As far as big cities go, it's unfortunate that Houston didn't win out--we could use more folks like you.
Just don't turn into Yankees fans.
