some of you may know micah sprunger from the old days at covenant. he currently lives in savannah at paul ferris' house. i never really knew him much at covenant, but in the years since we've developed a pretty good friendship after a few trips to savannah. micah is without a doubt one of the most thoughtful people i know and his presence seems to bring a calm to almost any situation. his being a fellow photographer, and a great one at that, certainly doesn't hurt.

my crash course in flash programming is going full tilt the last few days. i feel like i've learned so much in just the past few days and i'm finally starting to get a grasp on how to use these tools. it helps that i've got a deadline on my first project tomorrow - i always have worked better under pressure.
anyone seen friday night lights yet? any opinions on it? i'm hoping to see it this weekend and very much looking forward to it.
Andy, can you take pictures of us tomorrow night?
Posted by: John Totten at November 18, 2004 08:52 PMdon't expect the movie to move you. the story is true but probably a little exaggerated. hollywood's independent-like film isn't so like. i was bored.
Posted by: cat at November 19, 2004 10:39 AMthe second time I watched the movie it had me tearing up at the end. It gets my two thumbs up. Best sports movie ever in my opinion. Dont' expect most folks to love it unless they're into sports. Certain mindset and all that. Ones not better than the other, just different. Soundtrack is great too, Explosions in the Sky. Great stuff.
Posted by: JosiahQ at November 19, 2004 10:53 AMi wasnt around micah that much but the little bit i was he seemed like a great guy. his photos were very good, i remember one in particular of a child on some stairs looking away from the camera. and one of brady on the bridge. loved the way his shots seemed to emerge out of the dark.
Posted by: cannon at November 19, 2004 12:19 PMi liked friday night lights. but i went in with somewhat low expectations. tim mcgraw (is that his name?) did a better job than i expected, and i've always liked that kid from slingblade. it was an emotionally manipulative movie (as all sports films are, i suppose) that i enjoyed being manipulated by. -- i teared up a bit at the end, too.
Posted by: becki at November 19, 2004 01:01 PMI always heard about micah. Since he was pretty much out the door by the time I got to covenant. but I knew plenty of chicks that had the hots for him. not me though... I like the skinny scandinavian types. excellent photographer and rumored prankster.
Posted by: katiek at November 19, 2004 03:32 PMJohn Simpson is coming to Gainesville for Thanksgiving; no more soliciting is needed.

Posted by: watch moi at March 17, 2005 03:21 PMhi,
if this is truly the Micah Sprunger that I am looking for,
I would really like to know his whereabouts, because I went to
high school in the Philippine Islands with him, and would like to
see how he is doing >if anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate it...

Ditto elizabeth. Classmates once, but haven't seen eachother in over 15 years.
