got the first few rolls of color film from christmas back from the photo shop. here is the first of what will probably be many photos of little niamh montgomery. i think she's still figuring out exactly how her facial muscles work, but every now and then she's able to pull of something akin to a smile, or almost a laugh. she's pretty unpredictable though and i usually had to shoot about 5 pictures for every one where i could catch her smiling. it is, of course, totally worth it in time spent and exposures wasted for that one moment she does smile...

back to work and up to my ears in Flash MX. some days i think i'm figuring it out and some days i feel a bit like sisyphus, pushing the boulder up the hill only to watch it roll down again. but then, most of the developers i've spoken with say i'll probably feel this way for quite a while.
may go see the late show of life aquatic tonight. still recovering from the holidays though, so may not...
