the natives are restless... my apologies once again for the lack of posting. i'm just not shooting much these days and i've grown tired of posting old images. i've been rethinking the site a bit and i may take a sabbatical for a while. for the time being, i should probably at least remove the word "daily" from my blog title. we'll see...
for now, here's a shot of some of the changes going on at the coptix offices. we recently got the new logo put on the front door and window which finally makes us official i suppose. well, at least people will know what they're wandering into now when they walk in off the street. which they do, by the way. it's bizarre sometimes how people just pop in and ask for directions or help with one thing or another. last week i helped a guy move some big pieces of wood in the warehouse next door, and the week before that some of the coptix guys helped move someone in a wheelchair off of a st.elmo porch. jacks of all trades - that's us i guess!
...
may be going to see wit tonight up at covenant. a couple of friends from cornerstone are performing in it.
have you seen the movie version of 'wit' w/ emma thompson? we watched it on bob and sarah's recommendation a few weeks ago (when i had strep). i'd be very interested in seeing cov's version; since that won't happen, i guess i'll just have to hear reports...

Posted by: cannon at February 22, 2005 11:49 AMDo it Andy, life is the ebb and flow, the passing of seasons, the in and out of tides... if you need someone to help you feel like taking pictures I could kick you... just kidding, when do you take pictures, do you ever go out with that in mind... if you do and want someone to go out and picture life as it is or could be I would love to tag along with my few rolls and one good eye... anyway.. I love you Andy, in whatever you decide about the site... take care... Brian
Posted by: Brian at February 22, 2005 12:21 PMAndy, you make me want to curse. You've been given a talent like none other to capture beautiful things and compositions with a machine called a camera and WILL NOT be deprived of appreciating it. If there's one piece of advice I would give to you and other brilliant artists as ourselves it is that YOU CANNOT LET GET WORK COMMITMENTS OR RELATIONSHIPS GET IN THE WAY OF YOU EXPRESSING YOURSELF CREATIVELY. I'm serious. Now I want pictures on this blog and I want them now. I don't get to see you or talk to you every week now and I want to see your freaking pictures. I don't care if work is busy, if you have time to eat, you have time to post photographs. PICTURES!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Now go to your room while I contemplate what your punishment will be.
Posted by: John at February 22, 2005 05:38 PMcouldnt of said it better myself!!!
Posted by: cannon at February 22, 2005 07:27 PMthank you, john. you saved me from having to say it.
Posted by: notsoinnocent at February 22, 2005 08:19 PMpoor Andy
Posted by: BenW at February 23, 2005 12:01 AMYeah, I'd have to agree with John too. Being that I'm a mother of almost 2 kids, I have very very little time to express myself creatively unless it involves the kids. And that's OK. Because your artwork is where you are no where else. Don't be such a perfectionist. It seems the fans of your blog aren't nearly as disappointed in the actual photography as you are, and that's natural. Don't apologize and just WOW us when you can. But keep working or you'll dry up!!
