i believe i've mentioned it before, but brian whitacre and i try to meet down at greyfriar's every monday morning. it's a time to catch up, read some psalms, and usually spend some time praying, and it's always very rejuvenating. he's an old friend, through thick times and thin and today i'm sharing him with you on the blog.
...
sometimes scripture cracks me up. last night i was reading proverbs 27 and came across this:
Whoever blesses his neighbor with a loud voice,
rising early in the morning,
will be counted as cursing.
sounds like solomon had a friend who was a "morning person," and he is, of course, a man of great wisdom...
bro, i always love your blog. but i especially love it when it makes me laugh out loud at work.

the spam on this site just isn't as trite and annoying as it used to be. i personally love being preached to first thing in the morning about the difference between involvement and committment by someone named Windows Web Hosting. i'm wondering if the annoying spammers have all been caught and prosecuted under the annoying-spam-elimination Act, and the gaping void they left has been duly filled by really bored media ecology grad students trying to make some point about performative online art...
