Niamh Videos

The following links are a bunch of little Quicktime videos of my new niece Niamh (Nev). I can't imagine that many people aside from my family would want to see them all, but here they are. I'm mostly posting them because I'm not sure that my mom has seen then yet. I had to port them over from mpeg2 (DVD) files so I lost the sound, but she's pretty dang cute either way. I'm listing my favorites first. Enjoy...

I know you've explained it before, but how do you pronounce your daughter's name? I noticed it's the same name that the lead singer/songwriter for Starsailor used for his daughter also.

Hi (is it Dan, if I'm remembering a once-familiar Covenant name...?)

I'm Andy's brother, Jesse, and Niamh's my daughter. The name is Gaelic (a language which pronounces "mh" as [v]), and is most often pronounced [Nee'-iv] in Ireland (so my Irish coworker tells me), though it can also be pronounced [Nev]. The latter is a little less formal, and is what we usually call her.
