Artini - Black and White

This coming Friday, Allied Arts is hosting another Artini event - Artini Black and White. This is the fourth Artini event and looks to be a great time of hearing
local bands, viewing recent works by local artists, sampling food from
local establishments and, of course, dancing and drinking the night
away with good friends.

It's hard to beat $15 for all you can eat and drink especially with
sponsors like Niedlov's, Table 2, Sushi Nabe, Riverside Beverage (the
list goes on...), so get your tickets ahead of time and save a few
bucks. Oh, and don't forget to wear black and white...

Camping at Sand Rock

Went camping and climbing at Sand Rock, AL last night. Its one of the better bouldering areas in the southeast. Perfect weather, but I was thankful for my 0-degree bag last night!

Mickey Mouse powerlines

Driving back from Lakeland to Vilano Beach this morning traffic came to a near standstill on I-4 around the Disney World exits. Gave me a few minutes for some photographs. Even the powerlines are Mickey on this stretch of the road.

In Lakeland with the Kirbys

Spending the night with the southern Kirbys in Lakeland. Got to see Richard, Chris Bolls, Ryan, and the Kirby clan. Johnsonville brats of course, good beer and some bad football. Back to the beach tomorrow...

This is a test

Supposedly you can email a picture to a special email address that Flickr creates for you and the picture and text will be posted not only to your Flickr account but also to your blog. I've never really tried it out but I thought I'd give it a shot now. This is me at Vilano Beach about to celebrate my favorite niece's 3rd birthday. In spite of the great excitement you can see in my demeanor here, I was actually having a really good time.
